Alex still finds time to play at an extremely high level - both as an Isle of Man international & for Sheffield Mens 1s in National League Conference North. Alongside his playing career, Alex offers a great range of experience coaching in performance settings. For the last 4 years Alex has been coaching the South Yorkshire Academy Centre and more recently began a role as Head of Hockey at Sheffield University. 

David is currently head of hockey at Bradford Grammar School and coaches at Manchester Performance Centre. He has previously played 3 years of North Premiership hockey for Bowden as well as for National League side Preston 1st Team. He is also on the GB Advanced Coaching Programme.  

Currently working as a specialist PE teacher, Jane understands the needs of working with young players very well. Bringing great enthusiasm to the coaching team, Jane also has experience playing in performance environments form her time at Leeds Beckett University and Triton Ladies 1st Team. Jane currently plays in Leeds Adel 1st Team and coaches the junior girls at the club. 

Isabella is highly experienced at playing within the England Hockey pathway. Representing Pennine Pumas at Futures Cup and representing England U17s at the Home Nations. Currently, Isabella is part of the highly competitive University of Nottingham hockey environment. Isabella is also one of our expert indoor coaches, having played in two national indoor finals with Wakefield Hockey Club.  We look forward to working with Isabella on our up and coming camps! 

Rosie is one of the Horsfield Hockey specialist GK coaches. Vastly experienced in performance sport, Rosie has played for Sheffield HC 1st team in the Northern Premiership for the last 3 seasons. Having been through the pathway as a junior (futures cup-Wessex Leopards) she is able to bring those real experiences in to her coaching. Rosie currently coaches at the Yorkshire Performance Centre and the South Yorkshire Academy Centre. 

Erin represented Essex at U18 level in the England Hockey Player Pathway. From there, Erin went to Hull University and is a regular starter for the Hull University 1st Team. 

A member of the Ben Rhydding ladies 1st team since the age of 15, Holly brings vast experience of top level hockey with a thorough understanding of the game. An attacking goal hungry forward, Holly was crowned U16 National Champions with Thirsk HC and continues to perform at high levels, providing an inside knowledge of the player performance pathway. Hollys' experiences have moulded her as a coach & we are excited as to what she brings!

Mike brings an incredible amount of performance experience. He made his national league debut at 17 for Bowden HC - and now plays for University of Birmingham 1st Team whilst training with the international Wales squad. Mike also has valuable indoor hockey knowledge from his time in the Welsh NAGs. 

Christian has extensive player pathway experience, having coached within the system for the last 5 years, culminating in his appointment as East Midlands Head Coach in 2019. Christian currently also coaches Chesterfield Mens and Ladies 1st Teams - where he is able to put into practise his learnings from graduating the Great Britain Advanced Coaching Programme. Christian's sessions are described as loud, lively and energetic!  

Jess brings a great understanding of what it takes to play at a high level from a young age to the coaching team. At aged 15 Jess began playing in the National League North Conference with Leeds ladies first team. Alongside training in such a competitive environment, Jess also played for Yorkshire Performance Centre at both U15 and U17 level - as well as managing her school work! Jess currently coaches at Leeds Hockey Club and West Yorkshire Academy Centre. 

We are incredibly lucky to welcome Jon to our coaching team! Jon is currently the mens 1st team captain at Chesterfield, playing in the North Premiership. Jon loves creating environments for young people to learn and develop, he has spent the last 3 years as a Sports Graduate at The Mount, St Marys, Sheffield and is currently completing his PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University.
